How much does a new boiler cost in Greater Manchester?+
It depends on the boiler type, brand, warranty length, controls and any system upgrades (filters, flush, cylinder). We give a fixed written price after a free home survey rather than a range on the phone.
How long does a boiler installation take?+
A straightforward like-for-like combi swap is typically one day. A system change (combi to system, or new location) is usually two days including a full flush and commissioning.
How long do modern boilers last?+
Correctly sized, well-maintained condensing boilers typically last 12–15 years. Cheap installs without filters, flushes or annual services often fail at 6–8 years — most of that early failure is preventable.
What warranties do you offer?+
As ATAG approved installers we can fit boilers with warranties from 5 up to 18 years depending on brand and model. Warranties are subject to annual servicing being kept up — see our boiler servicing page.
Do I need to be home for the install?+
Someone needs to be on site for access, water and gas isolation, and the handover at the end. We work Mon–Sat, 8am–6pm and give you a firm start time.
Is my install notified to Building Control?+
Yes. As Gas Safe registered engineers we notify Building Control on your behalf. Your Building Regulations Compliance Certificate arrives by email within a couple of weeks.
Do you help with heat pump grants instead of a new boiler?+
Through our Q-Smart partnership, eligible households can claim up to £7,500 towards an air source heat pump via the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. See our heat pumps page.
What areas do you cover?+
Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Salford, Bury, Ashton-under-Lyne, Heywood, Middleton, Shaw and surrounding Greater Manchester areas.
Are you Gas Safe registered?+
Yes — Gas Safe registration number 636807. Every gas job is legally required to be carried out by a Gas Safe engineer. Always ask to see the ID card before work starts.
